Coronavirus: filiera bufalina in crisi, il presidente del Consorzio chiama De Luca

Il presidente della Regione Campania Vincenzo De Luca e il presidente del Consorzio di Tutela Mozzarella di Bufala Campana Dop Domenico Raimondo hanno avuto un colloquio telefonico sulle gravi conseguenze dell’emergenza coronavirus sulla filiera bufalina e sulle misure urgenti da adottare.

“Ho illustrato le difficoltà che sta vivendo il comparto e che necessitano di interventi immediati per scongiurare il peggio”, fa sapere Raimondo e aggiunge: “Con De Luca c’è piena condivisione delle problematiche e delle strategie. Il governatore ha assicurato il massimo impegno per adottare misure rapide a favore del comparto, che rappresenta un pilastro dell’economia agroalimentare del Centro-Sud. A De Luca va il ringraziamento mio personale e a nome del Consorzio per la sensibilità mostrata, che ci fa ben sperare per un sostegno nei prossimi giorni”.

Il colloquio fa seguito alla lettera-appello inviata dal Consorzio proprio al presidente De Luca lo scorso 18 marzo, per chiedere un intervento pubblico della Regione volto a ritirare il latte di bufala in eccedenza dal mercato, con l’obiettivo di salvaguardare l’intero comparto, in particolare il settore zootecnico, che non può fermarsi.

“Nel mese di marzo che sta per finire – conclude il presidente Raimondo – abbiamo assistito a un calo della produzione di mozzarella di bufala campana Dop di circa il 50%, legato soprattutto al blocco del canale ho.re.ca. (ristoranti e pizzerie). Chiediamo che ora ognuno faccia la sua parte per evitare ricadute sociali ed economiche che sarebbero drammatiche”.
