Caserta, approvato il Masterplan per la riqualificazione della città a partire dall’area della Reggia

La Giunta Comunale ha approvato su proposta del vicesindaco con delega ai lavori Pubblici Francesco De Michele il Masterplan della “Riqualificazione della città funzionale al Complesso vanvitelliano della Reggia e del sistema cinematico”. La progettazione dell’intervento è finanziata dal Programma di Azione e Coesione – Programma Operativo Complementare 2014/2020 “Fondo di rotazione per la progettazione degli enti locali”. Nei mesi scorsi si era svolto presso il Comune di Caserta un Tavolo di Concertazione con tutte le istituzioni interessate al programma di valorizzazione dell’area di piazza Carlo III, i cui contributi e proposte hanno consentito di redigere il documento finale Masterplan che costituirà atto di pianificazione integrativo al Documento Preliminare di Progettazione, già approvato. Il Masterplan rappresenta uno scenario unitario di progettazione della città, a partire dall’area della Reggia e di piazza Carlo III. Tra i progetti più importanti vi sono la riqualificazione dell’area dismessa RFI ex scalo merci e di piazza Garibaldi con la nuova stazione ferroviaria e la realizzazione del terminal bus, la rifunzionalizzazione dell’Emiciclo ovest ex distretto militare, la riqualificazione degli assi viari Caserta Nord – viale delle Industrie e Appia – ingresso Nord (viale Douhet). L’obiettivo finale è quello di far collimare gli interessi della città di Caserta, dei suoi cittadini, dei turisti, con quelli dei singoli proprietari delle aree oggetto degli interventi, attraverso la riqualificazione di aree dismesse e fabbricati in disuso, con particolare riferimento alla valorizzazione del sistema turistico della Reggia.

“Il Masterplan approvato oggi è un documento fondamentale per la pianificazione dello sviluppo della grande area intorno la Reggia perché – ha spiegato il sindaco Carlo Marino – ottimizza gli obiettivi dell’Amministrazione calibrandoli con le indicazioni dei futuri scenari emerse dalla Conferenza dei Servizi alla quale hanno partecipato tutti gli enti e le società interessate al programma di valorizzazione. I diversi progetti di intervento potranno ora procedere indipendentemente e le opere potranno essere realizzate in maniera autonoma in funzione delle risorse via via disponibili. Il Masterplan – ha aggiunto il sindaco – si integra perfettamente con il nostro Documento di Orientamento Strategico nel quale abbiamo immaginato una Caserta con tanti poli d’eccellenza: La Reggia di Caserta per il Turismo; Il Belvedere di San Leucio come Polo della Cultura; l’area della ex Saint Gobain per i Servizi; la zona del Policlinico Polo della Sanità; l’ex convento di S. Agostino quello della Modernità artistica; l’ex caserma Sacchi, oggi Palazzo dei Vescovi, Polo della Conoscenza, della Comunicazione e dell’Identità storica della Città; Il Macrico come Polo dello Sport e del Tempo Libero; il Parco urbano dei Colli Tifatini e l’Oasi del Bosco di San Silvestro Polo della Natura”.
